Jodi Arias’ eight days on the witness stand have been mighty tedious so far.
So I look to ABC’s “Good Morning America” for the trial recaps of what the program bills as “the break-up murder trial.” The provocative “GMA” commentary on the trial is another draw.
The latest: Arias has said she couldn’t remember stabbing former boyfriend Travis Alexander.
On Thursday’s “GMA,” Nancy Grace of HLN marveled that Arias could remember minute details about her days but nothing about killing Alexander. ”How could she go blank when she pulls his head back and slashes him from ear to ear?” Grace asked.
“All that considered, she was as good a witness as she possibly could have been with terrible facts,” ABC’s Dan Abrams said. “Why? She cried at the right time. She basically said that she tried to cover up the crime at certain points, making concessions. She’s looking at the jurors at the right time. … If she said she did remember, she’d be in more trouble.”
Grace said she watched note-taking jurors put down their pens and pencils when Arias said she couldn’t remember.
“She lied. She didn’t forget. She lied,” Grace ruled.
What do you say? I say I saved myself a lot of time by sticking to the highlights on “GMA.”
